Maybelline Vs. Bobbi Brown Gel Eye-liner

I have never been very good with eye-liner, the pencils really irritate my eyes and make them sore and the liquid ones they just do not stay on long enough and trying to get them in a straight line against your eyelid, so I thought fantastic when Maybelline brought out their own cheaper version of the Bobbi Brown gel eye-liner.

I had read loads of reviews saying how amazing it was and that it was perfect, so I brought it, I was a little bit disappointed for two reasons, one they only do it in a black which for me I think is a little harsh against my skin, I am quite pale and it kind of makes me look like I have been punched in the eye so I would like more colours and the second issue I had with it was the fact it rubbed off! I thought it would not do that it says on the packing that it lasts 24 hours which of course I did not believe but it would start to rub off 2 hours after wearing it and would end up with a black line across the top of my eye under the eyebrow.  But the good points about it is cheap only £6.00, the pot is only filled half way up but you do get a nice eye liner brush and I guess it would stay on for a whole night of dancing but saying that I am unsure if you sweated it would stay on.

So after my disappointed with Maybelline, I moved over to Bobbi Brown, yes it costs more but if it works I really do not mind what I pay, so I brought the Chocolate Shimmer one as the good thing about Bobbi Brown is there are load of different colours blues and greens, my grandma has it in green because of her olive colouring, so I got brown because of my brown eyes and reddish hair colouring (I could use blues or greens and it would still look fab) and I love it!  You do not get a brush with it as you have to buy that separately which can cost quite a bit but I ordered a load of brushes of eBay and they were fine.  It is amazing, it glides on there are no smear or creases and it did not rub off! It seemed easier to put on because it glides you do not end up with loads on your brush so you do not look like you have been hit in the eye. For only £7 more I would get this one.

I am a fan of Bobbi Brown but I would love to hear what gel eye-liners you use?

I’ve never tried the Bobbi Brown liner but I’m just might have to now. I really love the Maybelline liner and they do offer extra colors but not all stores carry them. I believe I have only see like two colors but I really want to get thier eggplant to enchance my eye color.
